Mary Ruth Hardin “Nanny” Early, age 83 of Centre, passed away Sunday, August 14th at her residence.
Funeral services will be 3PM Thursday, August 18th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Robert Steele officiating; burial will follow in Salem cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3PM Thursday, at the funeral home.
Survivors include daughters, Martha Coleman of Centre, Mary Wade of Centre; brother, Denson (Martha) Wade of Cedar Bluff; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Wade (Kevin Oakes), April Overstreet, Jason & Jonathan Nicholson, Shane Wade; 2 great grandchildren, Aubree Oakes, Daniel Overstreet; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces & nephews; special friend, Lewis Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Early.
Mrs. Early was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Annie Belle Hardin, a retired lunchroom worker at Cedar Bluff School and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Unity Baptist Church.
