But since she’s Melissa Etheridge, she commented in song.
First, Melissa revealed to host Andy Cohen that after she’d said something about the divorce earlier that week, she was contacted by a person on Angelina Jolie’s team. “There are people whose business it is, whose job it is, to kind of fix things for celebrities,” Etheridge hinted. “Every time I say something it gets turned around and twisted and all of a sudden I’m saying something about [Jolie].”
Then, to clear up any speculation that she was bashing Jolie, Melissa revealed that she wrote a song about it called “The Fixer Blues,” and then performed it. In one part of the song, she sings: “I have not seen my friend in over 10…years and I swear I have never, ever, ever, ever met his wife.”
Etheridge later croons, “I hope you understand to scandalize was never my plan.”
A source told ABC News that the FBI is investigating Pitt over an allegation of child abuse. If any charges are filed against Pitt, they’d likely be misdemeanors, according to the source.
Meanwhile, sources close to Pitt, 52, told ABC News that the actor is taking the allegations very seriously and cooperating with authorities. However, they added, many of the claims made against him are either exaggerated or outright fabricated.
