Two people are jailed on methamphetamine charges in Dekalb County.
According to Sheriff Jimmy Harris, Drug Task Force Agents executed a search warrant on County Road 479, on a vehicle that drove up.
As a result of the search agents found $1300 cash, and uncut methamphetamine with a street value of $6000.
During the seizure Salvador Lopez- Guzman age 26 of Boaz, and Brenda Briseida Navarro age 23 of Boaz was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance.
Guzman and Navarro were transported to DeKalb County Detention Center were they remain.
Sheriff Harris says “Thanks to the Drug Task Force Agents for doing a good job on getting more drugs off the streets and the citizens of the community for calling in tips. Please keep calling in any illegal activities to the DeKalb County Sheriff Office.”
