Michael B. Ciolek, Gunnery Sergeant USMC Retired, passed away July 26, 2016, at his home in Centre, AL, after a short illness.
Mr. Ciolek was a resident of Cherokee County for eleven years and a native of New York. He was a proud Eagle Scout and a twenty year Marine Corps veteran. He served his country honorably in Desert Storm. He attended Fairview United Methodist Church, which he considered his extended family. Mr. Ciolek is survived by his wife Bridget Ciolek of Centre, a sister, two brothers and many wonderful friends.
A military Honors Memorial Service will be held at Barrancaas National Cemetery at Pensacola Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL at a later date.
