Michelle Obama Welcomes Her Last White House Christmas Tree

Alex Wong/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) — Michelle Obama ushered in the final Christmas tree of her husband’s administration on Friday.

She was accompanied by her young nephews, Austin and Aaron Robinson, and her dogs, Bo and Sunny.

The first lady welcomed the 19-foot Balsam-Veitch fir from the Whispering Pines Tree Farm in Oconto, Wisconsin. The tree was presented by Wisconsin’s Dave and Mary Vander Velden, who won a contest hosted by the National Christmas Tree Association, a national trade association that represents the Christmas tree industry.

The tree was delivered to the White House in a horse-drawn carriage, which is a longstanding holiday tradition.
