More Than 50 Grams of Meth Seized in Calhoun County Drug Bust

Calhoun 1Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Deputies have arrested two people on drug charges, during an on-going investigation into suspected drug activity.

Chief Deputy Matthew Wade says County Investigators, working with Alabama Probation & Parole and both the Cleburne and Randolph County Sheriff’s Offices went to Couch’s Mobile Home Park in Oxford – where law enforcement officials were investigating suspected drug activity involving probationer Richard Allen Waldrep.

Calhoun 3That investigation resulted in the seizure of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, and Waldrep, age 44, was arrested for trafficking methamphetamine – and taken to the Calhoun County Jail.

Also arrested at the scene was 35 year old Misty Leigh Perry, on charges of being a Fugitive from Justice.

Perry had an active probation warrant out of the Clayton County (Georgia) Sheriff’s Office.
