Mr. Bernard Clifford Shaw, age 84, of Lyerly, GA, died Saturday, November 15, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Shaw was born February 15, 1930, in Gaylesville, AL, son of the late Jim Shaw and Edna Todd Shaw. He was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, he was a farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Otis Shaw and O. B. Shaw; a sister, Helen Bobo; a son-in-law, Charlie Wooten; and a great-grandson, Austin Galletta.

Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife, Leona Chitwood Shaw; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary Don and Gay Shaw; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Mike Woodard; brothers, R. L. Shaw and George Shaw; a sister, Thelma Norman; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Shaw will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 17, 2014, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Pledger and Rev. Howard Odom officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Jacob Woodard, Greg Shaw, Scott Ballard, Barry Bentley, Judson Hartline, and Dee Windle. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Mills, Wayne Hurley, Greg Hurley, Frank McCrickard, Wayne Gilliland, David Collins, and Garrett Hurley.

Mr. Shaw will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, November 16, 2014.
