Mr. Glenn Edward Teague, age 66, of Gaylesville passed away Monday, May 20th, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be 11am Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jim VanPelt, Rev. Mike Young and Rev. Johnny Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday night at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Donny Duff, Craig Canada, Junior Crabtree, Bobby Mount, Chuck Teague, Junior Tucker, Mike Young, Randy Owen, and Ricky Carroll.
Survivors include his wife: Linda Jean Speer Teague; two daughters, Betty Jean Teague (Steven Scoggins) of Gaylesville, and Glenda (Ricky) Trammell of Cedar Bluff; granddaughter, Trish Trammell (Craig Canada); two great-granddaughters, Chloe and Kayleigh Brown of Gaylesville; brothers, Henry Boughton (Emma) Teague, Jr. of Greenwood, SC, and Charles (Martha Jo) Teague of Lyerly, GA; sisters, Martha Owen of Fort Payne and Betty (Bill) Young of Lyerly, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Teague was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Henry Boughton Teague, Sr. and Velma Chloe Goodman Teague. He was retired from the carpet industry and was a life-long member of Mount Zion Independent Church of Rhinehart. He was preceded in death by his parents; as well as his sisters, Frances Leora Tucker and Louise Chloe Duff; and grandson, Patrick Allen Trammell.
