Mr. James Dennis Ray, 60 of Centre, passed away Monday September 18th at his residence.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday September 22nd at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Herbert Reid officiating, burial will follow in Howell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Joey Hazelwood, Carey Tucker, Randy Rutledge, Tom Long, Marvin Czentnar, Bryan Corey, Richard Saye and Gary Adams.
Survivors include wife, Loretta Pierce Ray of Centre; daughters, Kaitlyn (Jacob) Griffin of Norfolk, Va. and Shelby (Michael) Weeks of Cedar Bluff; mother, Audrey Ray of Centre; one brother, Johnny (Kathy) Ray of Rome, Ga.; one sister, Jackie Casey of Centre; three grandchildren, Brackett Weeks, Sara-Laine Weeks and Charlotte Griffin; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James “Jack” Ray.
Mr. Ray was a native of Floyd County and was of the Baptist Faith.
