Mr. Johnny “J L” Roberts, 74 of Centre, passed away Monday January 16th at his residence.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm on Wednesday January 18th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sanford Deberry and Rev. Don Cason officiating, burial will follow in Weiss lake Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Aaron Battles, Michael Moroz, Brandon Morris, Terry Shaw, Michael Shaw and Jack Kendrick.
Survivors include wife, Peggy Gunter Roberts of Centre; daughters, Donna Roberts Cahalan of Lithia Springs, Ga and Sheron Roberts Kendrick of Acworth, Ga.; sisters, Mittie Knight of Rome, Ga., Louise Shaw of Cloudland, Ga. and Glenda Battles of Gaylesville; 4 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter “Fireball” Roberts.
Mr. Roberts was a native of Cherokee County, and son the late Virgil L. and Ida Bell Brunson Roberts and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
