Mr. Marshall Lee Tierce, age 85, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was born on June 22, 1928 in Alabama. He was the son of the late Mr. Horace and Mrs. Maude Hayes Tierce.

Mr. Tierce is survived by his wife; Edna Rhinehart Tierce, daughters and son-in-laws; Synetta (Tony) Bowling, Ava (Rickey) Rainey, and Pat (Tony) Davis; Sister, Kellon Maxwell; four grandchildren, Blake (Kendra) Rainey, Brittney (Jimmy) Higginbotham, Nicholas (Lorrie) Rainey, and Madison Davis; five great grandchildren, Griffin Higginbotham, Tatum Higginbotham, Bryson Neace, Macall Higginbotham, and Ellis Rainey; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Tierce is preceded in death by his parents; Horace and Maude Tierce, Foster Child; Phil Tierce, Sister; Melva Shell, Brothers; Lindsey Tierce and Mitchell Tierce.

A funeral service for Mr. Tierce will be conducted on Tuesday, November 19th, 2013 at Two o’clock in the afternoon at Second Baptist Church of Cedartown with Rev. Patrick Latham officiating. Interment will follow to Polk Memory Gardens with Rev. Bill Heaton officiating.

The family will be receiving friends and family on Monday, November 18th,2013 from six o’clock until nine o’clock in the evening at Gammage Funeral Home.

The following men will serve as pallbearers; Larry Mosley, Jimmy Tracey, David Hatch, Blake Rainey, Nicholas Rainey, and Jimmy Higginbotham. Also, the Men’s Sunday School Class of Second Baptist Church of Cedartown are recognized as honorary pallbearers.

Flowers will be accepted as well as donations can be made to Second Baptist Church of Cedartown’s Building Fund.
