Mr. Piney F.Rieger,age 80 of Centre, passed away Sunday, August 30th at Gadsden Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be 7 PM Wednesday, September 2nd at Perry Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Eugene Burgess, Rev. Ricky Pollard, and Rev. Lynn Hughston officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held 11AM Thursday at Cherokee Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers include Members of the Cherokee County Rescue Squad.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Jean Reed Rieger; sons, Gerald (Darlene) Rieger, Tim Rieger, Dwayne Farrell (Teresa) Rieger; daughter, Wanda (Tim) Poole; brother, Rick (Becky) Berry; sister, Evalene Gist; grandchildren, Tiffany Rieger, Jeremy Rieger, Jacob Rieger, Zach Poole, Logan (Katie) Poole, Kaitlan Poole; great-grandchildren, Kade Davis, Kinsley and Khloe Poole

Mr. Rieger was a native of Ozark County, Missouri, the son of the late Thad and Goldie Sanders Rieger. He was a lifetime member of the Cherokee County Rescue Service and was a member of Sand Valley Baptist Church.
