Mr. Wilburn Douglas Black, age 73 of Centre, passed away Saturday, April 25th at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2:PM Monday, April 27th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Ricky Clark and Bro. LeRoy McKissick officiating; burial will follow in Weiss Lake Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:PM Sunday.
Pallbearers include Terry Anderson, Marc Anderson, Keith Henderson, Doug Henderson, Wesley Dawson, Bobby Maxwell, Jr., James McGee.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Crane Black; son, Brian (Amanda) Black of Centre; daughters, Shelia (David) Dutton of Centre, Sandy Black of Centre, Rhonda McGee of Centre and Pam (Derek) Roberts of Centre; brothers, Harold Black of Calhoun, GA, Winston Black of Calhoun, GA, Jimmy Willoughby of Harrison, TN; sisters, Wanda Callahan of Chattanooga, TN, Ruth Anderson of Rome, GA and Patsy McGee of Ft. Payne; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren
Several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Dutton.
Mr. Black was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Millard Theodore and Lavander Wells Black and was of the Baptist faith.
