Mrs. Allene H. Snead, 82 of Centre, passed away Monday, August 18th in the Cherokee Health & Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7 P.M. at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Jenkins and Rev. Mike Manning officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 A.M. at Hebron Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6:30 P.M. Wednesday.

Survivors include 2 sons, Terry (Debra) Snead and Mark (Kim) Snead of Centre; 3 daughters, Kathy (Joe) Eidson of Albertville, Cheryl (George) Wright of Southside and Lisa Colvert of Centre; grandchildren, Rodney Acker, Holly Abernathy, Neil Snead, Megan Perman, George Wright V, Andrew Williams, Brian Williams, Alle Colvert, Deidre Eidson, Darrell Eidson and Dale Eidson; great-grandchildren, Austin Abernathy, Alex Abernathy, Cayden Wright, George Wright VI, Chloe Eidson, Halli Eidson and Lexi Eidson; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Snead was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Al and Lois Farrah Hopper, was retired from Cherokee Medical Center and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
