Mrs. Ella Ruth Brannon, 96 of Centre, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in the Cherokee Health and Rehab Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brannon will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Melvyn Salter and Rev. Eddie Nation officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Garden. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Centre First Baptist Church.

Survivors include 3 sons, Charles (Helen) Brannon of Centre, Duane (Dayna) Brannon of Gold Beach, OR and Brent Brannon of Centre; daughter-in-law, Janie Brannon of Rome, GA; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Brannon and a son, Harold Brannon.

Mrs. Brannon was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Valdora Dayton and Ovie McRae Henderson and was a member of the Centre First Baptist Church.
