Mrs. Evelyn Geneva Walker age 82 of the Alexis community passed away Tuesday evening at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be 7: PM Thursday January 2nd at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. George Cobb and Rev. Jeff Chambers officiating.
Graveside Committal service will be 10: AM Friday January 3rd at Howell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 4:30 – 6:30 PM.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Howell or Hebron Cemetery fund.
Pallbearers are Keith Walker, Brandon Young, Nick Young, Jamey Walker, J. Winkles, Jack Horton and Bradley Pollard. Honorary Pallbearer is Walker J. Pollard.
Survivors include her sons: Danny (and Peggy) Walker of Centre, Johnny (and Freida) Walker of Leesburg, two Daughters: Vickie (and Thomas) Young of Centre and Tammy (and Jerry) Pollard of Fleming Island, FL, one Sister: Flora Frasier of Gadsden, 12 Grandchildren, 13 Great – Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband James Edison Walker, and Grandson Walker J. Pollard.
Mrs. Walker was a native of Cherokee County the Daughter of the late Will and Nora Jennings Smith and she was a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church.
