Mrs. Gladys Anthony Coker

Mrs. Gladys Anthony Coker, age 87, of Leesburg passed away at her residence Sunday, August 25 after an extended illness.

The funeral will be Wednesday, August 28, 3:00 PM at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Johnny Pruitt and Rev. Dan Meadows officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 PM
until the funeral hour. Interment will be in the Shiloh-Bothwell Cemetery, Leesburg.

She is survived by her son Jimmy (Deborah) Coker, Leesburg; daughter, Janis (John) McCleskey, Leesburg; grandson, Matt McCleskey, Huntsville; adopted granddaughter, Anna Kent; adopted great-granddaughters, Savannah, Breannah, and Juliannah Kent; sisters, Virginia Grimes and Margaret (Jamie) Davis, Centre, Nell Massey, Stockbridge, Ga., Jean Floyd (Jackie Sligh), Atlanta, Ga.; Several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard W. Coker; parents, Walter C. and Nolia Snider Anthony; brothers, Jack and H.F. Anthony; sisters, Frances Wood Helms, and Peggy Pruitt.

Pallbearers will be Keith Wood, Bobby Grimes, Mark Grimes, Steve Grimes,Gene McGee, Bruce McGee, Hoppie Morris and Don Rochester.

She was a life long resident of Cherokee County and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She worked many years for Centre Mfg., So-Sew Styles, and American Apparel. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed
by all who knew her. Her family extends special thanks to the caring nurses and staff of Alacare Home Health and Hospice, Dr. Byron Nelson and his staff, and the nurses and staff of Cherokee Medical Center.

The family will accept flowers or memorial donations to the Shiloh-Bothwell Cemetery Fund.
