Mrs. Mary Harrell age 78 of Gaylesville passed away Friday March 17th at her residence.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday March 19th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Nixon and Rev. Danny Langley officiating, burial will follow in Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Shane Dodd, Craig Canada, Kyle Harrell, Nathan Harrell, Briley Mitchell and Gene Slayton.

Survivors include sons, Steve (Renae) Harrell of Gaylesville, David (Denae) Harrell of Gaylesville and Jeff Harrell of Cedar Bluff; daughter, Sheila Canada of Gaylesville; brothers, James McGee of Centre and Louie (Joyce) McGee of Centre; sisters, Arlene Stepps, Shirley Williamson, Peggy Hunter and Dula Nell Hudgins; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odas Harrell, daughters, Carol Dodd and Martha Jones and grandson, Christopher Dodd. 

Mrs. Harrell was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Wesley and Ruth Abernathy McGee and a member of the Gaylesville First Baptist Church.
