Mrs. Mary Lynn Edge Chestnut, of Gadsden, a native of Cherokee County, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Mrs. Chestnut was a Christian in her heart. In later years, she worshipped by TV ministries.
She was an employee of John Thomas Ford for many years. She and her husband ran the Chestnut Fish Camp on Yellow Creek for many years.
Graveside service will be at 4:30 pm on Thursday, September 19th at Cherokee Memory Gardens on Hwy 9 East. Visitation will also be held at Cherokee Memory Gardens from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, prior to the service, on Thursday. Bro. James Bowers will conduct the funeral service.
Survivors include her brother, Malcolm W. Edge and numerous cousins.
Her brother wishes to express his heartfelt thanks to her cousins, Martha C. Mackey and Sandra Mackey; as well as Kerri Benefield of Amedisys Hospice for her competent service.
