Mrs. Mildred Higgins Davis

Mrs. Mildred Higgins Davis, 91 of Centre passed away, Sunday, February 19th, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday February 22nd at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Melvyn Salter and Rev. Larry Garrard officiating with burial will follow in Tates Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Foster, Matt Schroeder, Danny Higgins and Ernie Higgins.

Survivors include sons, Bill (Fay)Davis of Leesburg and Steve (Selena) Davis of Leesburg; daughters, Patricia Lunsford of Centre and Donna (Fred) Reiff of Abilene, Tx.; brother, Harold “Bunk” (Louise) Higgins of Centre; sister, Betty Sewell of Centre; six grandchildren, Jake Davis Reiff, Dain Davis, Daniel Davis, Loren Lunsford, Landon Lunsford and Taylor Wynn; 8 great-grandchildren; special friends and caregivers, Liz Wilson, Connie Barnes, Mary Lou Hopkins, Liz Alred and Barbara Dickerson; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Waldo Davis and sister Geralene (Bill) Brown.

Mrs. Davis was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Ernest Alford and Vela Idell Richardson Higgins and member of Tates Chapel Baptist Church.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Tates Chapel Cemetery Fund.
