Mrs. Nancy Meade age 85 of Centre passed away Saturday January 21st at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday January 25th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Cosby officiating, burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Matthew Meade, Nick Meade, Brandon Terrell, Johnny Proctor lll , Randy Clayton and Jimmy Black.
Survivors include son, Jim (Sharon) Meade of Knoxville, Tn.; daughters, Dianne (Charles) Latty of Centre and Vicky Meade of Centre; grandchildren, John (Renee) Latty, Jamey (Mary) Latty, Nancy (Russ) Wood, Matthew (Stephanie) Meade, Nick (Calyn) Meade, Keri Meade and April (Brandon) Terrell; 12 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; best friend, Sue Young; brother-in-law Tommy (Martha) Meade; sister-in-law Charlotte (James) Caldwell; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Meade, son, Greg Meade, brother, Ernest Harwell Wood and sister-in-law, Lois Boatfield.
Mrs. Meade was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the lateJohn Duvall and Bertha Louella Brown. She was a member of Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church. She loved her Fedellis Sunday School Class, her church family and her card playing friends.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church.
