Mrs. Sara Devell Kerr age 76 of Centre passed away Tuesday January 17th at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday January 19th at Old Nazareth Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Robinson and Rev. Alton “Jay” Chambers officiating, burial will follow in Old Nazareth Cemetery. The body will lie-in-state one hour before the service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Jay Chambers, Jeremy Chambers, Tim Crider, Randall Crider, Rickey Garrett and Gene Littlefield. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Hester and Rodney Garrett.
Survivors include son, Roy Lee (Kathy) Kerr; daughters, Lynn (Jeff) Chambers and Sherry A. (Chuck) Mosley; brother, Wilburn (Shirley) Hester; grandchildren, Tonya Spurgeon, Talisha Bowers, Latrisha Chambers, Jay Chambers, Jeremy Chambers, Joshua Chambers; great-grandchildren, Laci Bowers, Cooper Bowers, Laylah Davis, Ty Chambers and Ariana Chambers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alton Kerr.
Mrs. Kerr was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Lawrence A. and Naomi V. Tolbert Hester and member of Old Nazareth Baptist Church.
