Mrs. Mattie Lou Reese age 89 of Piedmont passed away Sunday April 13th at her residence
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Thursday April 17th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Willingham officiating, burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Wednesday.
Survivors include son, Leon (Joyce) Reese of Piedmont : daughter, Brenda (William Jr.) Amos of Amelia, Fl.: Grandchildren, Anthony Reese, Susan Reese, Amanda Dumas-Hernandez & Kristi Nolen: Great-grandchildren, Brandon Arrington, Stevi Teague, Nathan Reese, David Reese &Miguel Hernandez: Great-Great-Grandchildren, Alissa Arrington & Case Arrington.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. John Eldridge Reese, son Calvin Eldridge Reese, brothers John Burnett, Carl Burnett & Pierce Burnett, sister Nutelle Lambert.
Mrs. Reese was a native of Carroll County Ga. the daughter of the late Clifford Melvin And Winnie Erline Wright Burnett and a member of the Centre Congregational Holiness Church.
The family will accept flowers or donations made to Centre Congregational Holiness Church in memory of Mattie Lou Reese.
