Multiple Accidents in Cherokee County on Monday

Alabama State Troopers spent a great deal of the day in Cherokee County Monday working three separate accidents with injuries.

The first was a single vehicle wreck on Highway 35 resulting in five injuries.  That accident took place at 1:00pm north of the Gaylesville four-way stop and involved a 2002 Ford being driven by 69 year old Donald Hartline.  Reports listed Hartline as being hurt along with four passengers: 17 year old Christian Hartline and three young children, ages eight, five and one.

Just moments later, at 1:45pm – troopers were dispatched to a report of a wreck involving a 2008 Suzuki on County Road 168.  Both the driver – 31 year old Amy Johnson from Collinsville – and a passenger – 16 year old Timothy Hooper – were listed as receiving injuries.

At 6:15pm a third accident took place, this one involving a 2004 Mack Truck on County Road 15 – the driver, who was identified as 39 year old Randall McGuire of a Georgia address was hurt in that wreck.

No additional information was available regarding the condition of any of those hurt, and each of those accidents remain under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
