A murder occurring over the weekend remains under investigation in Etowah County.
Gadsden Police Chief Bobby Jackson said that a man was found stabbed to death early Saturday (March 8th) morning in the 2900 block of Hartford Street.
Officers were reportedly called to the residence shortly after 8:00am after a neighbor witnessed a man lying on the front porch.
Law enforcement arrived to find the victim, 52 year old Gary Stokes, dead from an apparent stab wound.
The actual time of Stokes death has yet-to-be determined.
