Paul McDonald was sworn in earlier in the week by Probate Judge Kirk Day during a special ceremony at the County Administration Building.

WEIS Radio News spoke with McDonald afterwards and it was immediately obvious that he brings a lot to the position:

McDonald added that he looks forward to putting the skills he’s developed over the course of his career to use locally, and working with Cherokee County Coroner Dr, Jeremy Deaton

Deaton says he’s thrilled to have someone with McDonald’s experience, and background, as part of the coroner’s office.

In addition to Deaton and McDonald, the office consists of two Deputy Coroners – Broderick Smith and Dakota Lambert; driver, Haylee Betterton and an Assistant to the Coroner, Kevin Wood.
