Northwest Georgia Woman Arrested in Rome Also Wanted in Cherokee County

CCSO - Parker, Jennifer MarieA Northwest Georgia woman wanted on fugitive from justice charges is now facing an additional charge of escape, after allegedly attempting to flee from officers after being handcuffed.

23 year old Rockmart resident Jennifer Marie Parker was picked up about 9:30 Saturday morning and after being placed inside a patrol car, reportedly jumped out and ran – still cuffed.

She was quickly apprehended, and transported to the Floyd County Jail – where she was charged with two counts of felony obstruction, felony escape and with being a fugitive from justice along with a probation violation.

Parker is also wanted here in Cherokee County (Alabama) on a Revoked Bond.

She was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance back in November of 2012
