NRA-PVF recognizes Sen. Dial as best candidate to protect 2nd Amendment rights

State Senator Gerald Dial (R-Lineville) recently received the endorsement of the political arm of the National Rifle Association (NRA). With nearly 4 million members, the NRA is the country’s foremost defender of Second Amendment rights, as well as the premier firearms education organization in the world. NRA-PVF is the NRA’s political action committee.

“There are few things more precious in this country than the rights granted to citizens through our Constitution,” said Senator Dial. “The NRA has done a tremendous job of fighting back against groups who would like to deny us our Second Amendment rights. It has been an honor and a privilege to fight alongside the NRA in those battles, and I will continue that fight if reelected to the state senate.”

Gerald Dial represents District 13 in the Alabama State Senate, which includes all or parts of Chambers, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Lee, and Randolph Counties. In 2011, Senator Dial was appointed Majority Whip by the Senate Majority Leader Jabo Waggoner. Gerald is recognized for his parliamentary knowledge and command of the Senate rules of procedure.  His abilities have resulted in more roads projects, new businesses and opportunities for East Alabama than comparable freshmen legislators. Dial is Chairman of the Senate Local Legislation #1 Committee. Senator Dial and his wife, Faye, live in Lineville.

The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is the political action committee for the NRA. The NRA-PVF ranks political candidates – irrespective of party affiliation – based on voting records, public statements and their responses to an NRA-PVF questionnaire.
