Obama Tweets Praise for Hillary Clinton's Debate Performance

Michael Davidson for Hillary for America(WASHINGTON) — The day after the second presidential debate, President Obama took to Twitter to express his support for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

The president borrowed a line from his wife, Michelle Obama, whose use of the phrase “When they go low, we go high” has become a Democratic motto in the 2016 presidential election.

Just like Michelle says, when they go low, we go high. @HillaryClinton went high and showed why she’ll be a POTUS for all Americans.

The time stamp on the tweet indicates that the president was on his way to golf on this Columbus Day when he posted it.

Michelle Obama first used the phrase “When they go low, we go high” at the Democratic National Convention this summer in explaining how she and the president teach their daughters to rise above the rhetoric of those who might still question the president’s U.S. citizenship or Christian faith.
