One Air-Lifted for Treatment Following Cedar Bluff Accident Monday Morning

A single-vehicle accident on Summer Place Road in Cedar Bluff resulted in one person being air-lifted for treatment Monday. The accident occurred just after 10:00am with Cedar Bluff Police and Firefighters, Cherokee EMS, and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad responding to the scene.

The driver – listed as 53 year old Margaret Carolyn Peterson of Cedar Bluff – was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a location near the Country Store where a landing zone was set up.

She was flown to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga for treatment of her injuries.

The cause of the wreck remains under investigation by the Cedar Bluff Police Department.
