One Arrested in Connection with Armed Robbery in Rome

A Rome man has been arrested and charged with Armed Robbery in connection with the hold up of a cab driver back on September 18th.

According to reports two men attacked the driver and robbed him – causing injuries to the victim in the course of the incident.

21 year old Timothy Linell Long was identified after two composite sketches of the attackers had been distributed through various media outlets and throughout the community.

Floyd County Jail reports indicate that Long has been charged with hijacking an automobile, plus battery, theft of services, obstruction and illegally entering an automobile along with a probation violation.

The search for the remaining suspect continues.
