One person was killed and two were injured in a two vehicle accident in Rome on Thursday afternoon.
According to PFC Kyle York with the Rome Police Department – a Chrysler Sebring that was attempting to turn left on the connector from Redmond was struck on the driver’s side by a Jeep Laredo which was travel eastbound.
Eyewitnesses at the scene said the Jeep ran the red light.
The driver of the Sebring, identified as 48 year old Amy Brigham of a Kingston address died at the scene. The woman driving the Jeep, along with a female passenger, were transported to the hospital for treatment. No additional information was available regarding the extent of their injuries.
