A Monday morning collision at the intersection of Georgia 53 and Burlington Drive resulted in a trip to the hospital for one person.
According to PFC Marcus Roberts with the Rome Police Department a red Ford F-150 driven by Rome resident David Lovelace, was attempting to turn from Georgia 53 onto Burlington Drive – when his vehicle struck a Mercury Mountaineer being driven by Sarah Starks of Dalton.
The impact caused the Mountaineer to roll over, then land right side up by the side of the road.
Stark was transported to Floyd Medical Center for treatment.
Lovelace was cited for failure to yield.
