One person was injured in a single-vehicle wreck just off the Bypass on Commerce Street in Centre at around 10:20 Friday morning.
The elderly female driver was injured when her vehicle crashed into a tree by the roadside – she was reportedly transported to Gadsden regional Medical Center for treatment.
There were no passengers in the vehicle.
Those responding to the scene included the Centre Police & Fire Departments – along with Cherokee EMS, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad and Alabama State Troopers.
