One Injured in Two Vehicle Accident in Rome on Thursday Afternoon

Rome Cedar Avenue Wreck 1One person was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck involving a Jeep Wrangler and a passenger car, at Cedar Avenue and Darlington Drive in Rome on Thursday afternoon.

According to Rome Police Department reports, 24-year-old Amelia L. Woodard was driving a Nissan and had four passengers inside the car including three children, when she failed to yield the right of way and crossed the intersection where the collision occurred.

The second vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, was being driven by 17 year old Charles David Shorey, who escaped injury in the mishap.

Woodard and the three children were unhurt – however, the other passenger complained of neck pain.

Woodard was cited with Failure to Yield.
