One in Custody, Two Still Sought in Floyd County Armed Robbery

One subject is in custody and police are looking for two others in connection with an armed robbery taking place in neighboring Floyd County, Georgia.

A 17 year old was reportedly booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday night in connection with the incident.

Floyd County Police responded to the robbery that afternoon at John’s Grocery on Kingston Highway.

According to the store attendant three black males wearing red hoodies and masks entered through a side door with that first subject then pointing a gun in the attendant’s face saying he said he wanted all the money in the drawer.

There were only two people inside the store at the time, the attendant and one customer.

Neither were hurt in the incident.

Police began searching that area and a K-9 Unit was called in – and, according to Officer Jim McCormick with the Floyd County Police, “We believe those suspects are possibly juveniles and are in a blue Dodge Dakota.  They exited through the door they entered in, and went up to the woods to the vehicle that we believe that they are in.”

The suspects got away with around $200 in cash.
