One person was injured in a two car crash on County Road 22 near Pruett’s Campground just before 2:00 on Monday afternoon.
The vehicle went off of the roadway and traveled approximately 150 feet and through a yard before slamming into a parked pickup truck.
The victim was to be initially airlifted to a nearby trauma center however due to weather conditions the air medical transport units were unable to fly and he was instead rushed by EMS ground units to Floyd Medical Center in Rome.
The Spring Creek Fire Department, Cherokee EMS, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Officers responded to the scene.
