There was a single-vehicle wreck on the outskirts of Centre at the Leesburg Bridge Tuesday afternoon around 4:30.
According to the Centre Police Department accident report Jennifer Flowers, age 35 of Sand Rock, driving a 2007 Nissan Murano – made contact with a guardrail, flipping the car which came to rest on the bridge.
Traffic was backed up for some time as crews worked to clear the scene.
Flowers was transported by Cherokee EMS to Riverview Regional in Gadsden for treatment
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
