One of County’s “Most Wanted” Picked Up by Leesburg Police Department

A man recently placed on the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office “Most Wanted” list, has been picked up; 44 year old James Carl Reynolds was wanted on several counts of the Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree.

Reynolds was picked up by Leesburg Investigator Brian Gilliland, and Officer Joe Johnson at a residence in Sand Rock, without incident; the officers took quick action after a tip came in to the police department, and the suspect was in custody a short time later.

He was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center just after 3:00pm Tuesday, after having been placed on the “Most Wanted” list Monday morning.

Leesburg Police Chief Lanny Ransum stated that he was extremely proud of the work done by the officers for both Leesburg and the surrounding communities, to help keep citizens of the county safe.
