A Cherokee County woman was airlifted for treatment following a single-vehicle rollover in Cedar Bluff Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report that crash took place at 4:55pm on County Road 92, involving a 1996 Jeep being driven by 46 year old Sherry Smith of a Cedar Bluff address.
Cedar Bluff Police and firefighters along with Cherokee EMS – arrived to find that vehicle on its top in the middle of the roadway.
Smith was transported from the scene to the Cedar Bluff football field where a landing zone was set up; she was then flown to an area trauma center.
The accident report indicated that she was wearing her seat belt.
The cause of that wreck remains under investigation.
