One person was injured following a two vehicle accident on the Leesburg Bridge just before noon on Monday morning.
Reports from the scene indicate that a smaller passenger car was apparently “sideswiped” by an 18 wheeler; the driver of the big rig had to stop approximately a quarter of a mile where the initial accident occurred due to the fact that there was not a safe place to stop at the time.
The accident remains under investigation; we’ll have more as reports are available from the Leesburg Police Department
