One Person Treated For Smoke Inhalation During Apartment Fire In Cedar Bluff

BoundaryAveFireTwo units at an apartment complex on Boundary Avenue in Cedar Bluff were heavily damaged by fire on Thursday afternoon after a blaze broke out just before 2:00.

Cedar Bluff, Gaylesville & Centre Fire Departments responded to the scene within minutes of the call, fortunately the occupants of the apartment were able to safely get out, however at least one person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation according to Cherokee EMS.

Firefighters remained on the scene for well over an hour putting out hot spots, the exact cause of that the fire remains under investigation, Cherokee Electric Crews were also dispatched to the scene to shut off power in the area as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
