Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire

According to reports, a Piedmont was arrested over the weekend, despite his best efforts to “muddy the water” in regard to his true identity.

That 33 year old subject was being held in connection with a shoplifting incident at the East Gadsden Walmart on Saturday.

When officers arrived the man gave them a different name; nice try but the name he gave in fact turned out to be someone with an outstanding drug charge.

In other words, out of the frying pan, into the fire.

He was booked into jail on the charge.

Later the other man – the one who really had that outstanding drug charge – alerted the jail; but, by the time, the first man had already been released.

Authorities say he could wind up back in jail for giving false information to police – which is a felony.
