Firefighters with the Cedar Bluff, Centre and Gaylesville Departments were dispatched to a report of an outbuilding being on fire just off of Railroad Avenue in Cedar Bluff shortly after 4:00 Thursday morning.
According to Cedar Bluff Fire Chief Shawn Rogers, the Cedar Bluff Fire Department responded to a structure fire around 4 a.m. and upon arrival discovered a small outbuilding fully engulfed in flames.
WEIS Radio spoke with Cedar Bluff Fire Captain Jason Stewart who stated the outbuilding was already on the ground upon arrival and firefighters were able to quickly control and extinguish the fire preventing damage to surrounding residences.
Captain Stewart stated there were no injuries reported and the cause is currently under investigation.
The small structure was completely destroyed; it has yet to be determined what started the fire.
