Two Hurt in Collision Between Car and Ferrellgas Truck Near Sand Rock / UPDATED

A two-vehicle accident involving a passenger car and a Ferrellgas truck, took place Tuesday morning in Cherokee County.

That collision occurred near the intersection of 68 and 176, approximately three miles west of Sand Rock at 10:20am, leaving two injured.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report a 39 year old Rockmart Georgia resident, Brent Sloman, driving a 2001 Toyota and a passenger, 23 year old Kendra Crane of Collinsville were listed as being hurt in the wreck.

The driver of the truck, identified as 36 year old Andrew Wester of Boaz, was unhurt.

That accident remains under investigation.

The Sand Rock Fire Department and State Troopers responded to the scene.
