Piedmont Man Arrested On Charges Of Arson And Burglary

A Piedmont man has been arrested and charged in connection to a burglary and arson.

According to Etowah County Sheriff’s Investigator Jeremy Lasseter – 40 year old Jeremy Scott Cash of Piedmont, was charged with one count of third degree burglary and one count of second degree arson, both are felonies.

Cash allegedly burglarized a mobile home on Jones Chapel Road, in the Ball Play community, and then set it on fire. The incident occurred on January 8, 2015. Scrap metal taken from the residence was sold at a local business.

Cash is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
