Piedmont Council Hears Police, Fire And Rescue Squad Reports For August

The Piedmont City Council recently heard monthly reports from the police and fire departments along with the rescue squad.

Police Chief Steven Tidwell gave his departments report for the month of August and it went as follows:

Fire Chief Mike Ledbetter (pictured) then gave his report, which included news about a new storm shelter.

Piedmont Rescue

Rescue Squad Chief Phillip Winkles, during his report, says EMS responded to 119 calls and 82 patients were transported to the hospital during the month of August.

Winkles also thanked both the police and fire departments for their assistance during one particularly busy day.

Winkles says that response times during the month of August were down to around 4 minutes and 32 seconds.
