A Piedmont man was injured in a motorcycle accident occurring early Tuesday afternoon in Centre. According to the Centre Police Department accident report, the wreck took place at 12:35pm close to the intersection of Highway 9 South and East Main Street near the soccer fields – sending the driver to the hospital for treatment.
The report indicated that 59 year old James Nathan Formby was taken to Cherokee Medical Center by private vehicle following the mishap.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
