Piedmont Murder Suspect Must Remain in Calhoun County Until Trial

Kirkpatrick [BEST]Randall Wayne Kirkpatrick will remain in Calhoun County until time for his murder trial.

The Anniston Star is reporting that Calhoun County Circuit Judge Debra Jones, issued that order on Monday.

Kirkpatrick, DebKirkpatrick is accused of killing his wife, 22 year old Deborah Lynn Kirkpatrick, in 2003.

He will be forced to be under GPS monitoring should he meet his $100,000 bail.

Shortly after the death of his wife Kirkpatrick moved to Tennessee where he continued to live up until the time of his recent arrest.

Deborah Lynn Kirkpatrick was found dead in the couple’s home in Piedmont, back in June, 2003 – with the cause of death being a single gunshot wound to the head; it was never determined if her death was a suicide or homicide. According to investigators new evidence has been gathered in the case, which led to the arrest of Randall Wayne Kirkpatrick.

Arraignment has been set for September 4th.
