Two Piedmont residents were arrested on drug charges Thursday.
Tracy Brent Shell, 44 – was charged with three counts of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance in addition to the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Bond Revocation and Driving on a Revoked License;
Shell was additionally charged with Failure to Appear, on the previous charges of Failure to Stop and Failure to Signal.
Melanie Jean Phillips, also age 44, was charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance as well as Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Both were booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center around 7:00pm Thursday.
